MANday 32: Akwa LookBook

meanswear lookbook

Hellurr…one of the things I look forward to on Mondays is MANday. The styles, lookbook, trends could be quite exciting to write about. Sometimes though, the weather can get too hot and I’m not in the mood. lol. Did anyone have better weather this weekend? The heat was real. Maybe that’s why I was irritable this past weekend. Anyway it’s a new week and I’m positive it’ll be better than the week before, for us all. Who’s heard this song by Vashawn Mitchel? God my God. For that clean and positive start to your week, click and listen.

Men fashion is not as dynamic as the female fashion but I do appreciate the creativity it serves most times. In this age where the dollar is rising unapologetically, its wisdom to shop locally these days. And if you look closely and carefully, there are amazingly good clothier here in Nigeria. This dollar tragedy could be a blessing after all. Some days ago the #MadeInNigeria hashtag trended and the aim really was to encourage Nigerians to invest their money in the economy by buying more local produce. Let the money circulate and perhaps the need to trade in dollar would reduce. If only the government will improve our infrastructure so businesses can thrive. Anyway I pray for our country and our president especially. I hope you do same too.

In light of these, I thought to bring you a lookbook you could choose from. Akwa, which means ‘cloth’ in my tribe, indeed does some fine designs with his textile. I like the calmness and simplicity of his designs. His shirts are clean and just perfect for any occasion. I always say how proud I am of Nigerian designers and this one is no exception. As long as you churn out creative and affordable designs, you’ve got me. Akwa lookbook for the dapper gentlemen.

I love the fact that you can rock the outfits in this lookbook to church, work or a social event. The pieces go for as low as #4,000, the last time I checked. That, in my opinion, is good investment. You can easily contact the brand on 07064672688 | | Instagram: @akwa_menswear . Thank me later. *wink*

Now which outfit will you be trying on soon? Hit me up on the comment section below. Have a lovely week guys.
