Wedding Guest Outfit Inspiration
Hellurr…how have you been? Is the weather cool enough on your side of town? It is here and we’re stoked the weekend is here!! Wedding, party, hangout, what else do you have planned? Oh by the way, Happy Children’s day to my unborn children and all the kids around. Hehehe. May the world sing your praises!! I know we’ve featured this song before but can we do so one more time? One Republic with I swear I lived!
So these past weeks have been one exciting albeit somewhat stress full one. A friend got married and if you’re in
Nigeria Lagos, you’ll attest to the fact that weddings are no small feat. The planning that go into making it a success is out of this world. Can I take a moment to salute wedding planners in Nigeria? The ones that actually know what they’re doing. I salute! There are fake wannabes out there, best believe that, so be careful. The wedding was incredibly beautiful I must say, and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have an idea of just how much fun I had. The couple looked like they were made in heaven, but then isn’t that what weddings are about? Ofcourse!
As a wedding guest, there is always a lot of pressure to look dapper, especially as a lady. I dare say the pressure is more internal than it is external. Anyway there is pressure. You want to look top-notch. I mean you never know if Mr Right will be sipping on some margaritas at your table. So suit up.
I wasn’t really under any pressure, *coughs*, however, I knew I had to look really “take-away” as my mum would say. I got @Goziriafriquecouture to whip something cute with the ‘asoebi’ for the wedding, and at the end, I was mighty impressed by the look. You too can contact them for that ‘vavavoom’ look for the wedding you got invited to this weekend. I paired this dress with minimal accessories as I felt the outfit had enough drama. I also wore a ‘gele’ for the first time and I loved every moment I spent in it till my excess dancing loosened it. I had tried wearing a gele a long time ago but couldn’t carry it for up to 20 minutes as the headache was threatening to tear my head apart. However, this one was a great experience, I’ll be trying it again soon. *wink*
Do you like the outfit? Would you try it with your next ‘asoebi’? I can’t wait to see your own outfit. Don’t forget to drop a comment and share.
Have a ‘fantabulous’ weekend.
*hugs and kisses*
