Monday Pills: Tomorrow Is Never Guaranteed

tomorrow is not guaranteed

Hellurr… join me in thanking the unrivaled God for a brand new week! It was a sad weekend for me and the entire social media space and today is the tomorrow we hoped would come tell us that Eric’s demise was just a costly and early April fool’s prank. But it didn’t. However, we will not act like those who have no hope, we are consoled by the fact that he left a beautiful legacy and he’s in a better place. Here’s Hillsong for the early Monday pill. As It Is.

I was sitting under the sermon of my Papa in the faith, Pastor Paul Adefarasin and he beautifully reminded us through the Word, that death is not the end. And while we imagine the streets of gold that our loved ones who have left before us are currently walking, we live now in the conscious revelation that tomorrow is truly never guaranteed.

Now this is not a gloomy post. Oh no, I don’t intend it to be. But I do intend for it to be a pill that lights up a dark space in your heart. As intelligent and creative species, we are almost tempted to believe that our days are guaranteed, that we have all the control. I think that’s the biggest illusion of all time. When we make all those gigantic plans, and live like we have the rest of our days safely secured in a vault somewhere, it almost feels like we forget who the master planner is. Never forget.

Remember friend, do remember, that we may plan, but ultimately, God seals the deal if he chooses to. Now it just makes logical sense to get right with God! No don’t get on His good side because you want something from Him. He’s too smart not to see through such shady motives. Get right because you want HIM. Oh and how immaculately beautiful it is when you do have and walk with him.

I honestly didn’t plan for this to be a little sermon but hey, this is who I am and it is what it is. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. I’m so glad that Eric lived his life in service to the one true King. We may not understand why he left so early, but we choose to survive it. I pray divine strength for his immediate family and friends. Amen.

On a lighter note, who’s ready for valentine? As we chill on this Monday pill, do have an incredible and fun week!

*hugs and kisses*
