Magic Happens When Creatives Connect
Hellurr….it’s been a crazy mix of events for me and in all of it, the results have been magical. If you follow my rants as much as I hope you do, you’ll know I’ve been raving about Creatives Connect. It’s a value-adding platform for creatives to come together, partner, network and pick valuable tools with which to birth magic and excel as a creative entrepreneur. It happened last weekend and it was all shades of magical! But first of all,
introduction, MatchBox 20’s number titled Soul for the ride. For some reason, a friend said the song reminds him of me. Hmm…listen and tell me if you agree.
Well, Creatives Connect finally happened! I must admit it started a little off tune but then it’s things like these that make the entire production more real abi? The event held at this really cool work space called workstation. If you haven’t been there yet, you should totally check it out. We had thunder speaking facilitators like Tosin Alabi who tickled everyone present with too much sauce! I was visibly impressed by how much fan base she had. I’ll admit, I didn’t really know her till Saturday but trust me, after then, I’m totally hooked! and did I mention she looked adorable in her ensemble! She’s one of the very few people I’ve seen who rock pink head to toe, flawlessly! Sigh.
And my crush Dimma aka That Igbo Chic brought her A-game. This one, I’ve known for years now. She spoke ever so passionately about how to monetize your digital influence. Need I say, I learnt greatly from her session.
My main guy Noble Igwe brought the roof down with his ‘too much juice’. He was spitting bars, I can’t even lie. I wasn’t in the least bit surprised at the reception he enjoyed among the audience. They were picking up every word he dropped! He most likely was the high point of the event, especially after he led closing prayers in Igbo! This Noble though.
Other amazing speakers who shared very valuable insight during a panel that I anchored were the gorgeous Ezinne Alfa, the super talented Dodos, the powerhouse called Nwando Ebeledike, and the subtle yet influential Mary Jane of Zaron. Phew. I was blessed to have been a part of this. I tell you. Massive shout out to Laiza King and the Stylvo team for serving this hot, on a gold platter.
It was no doubt a well spent Saturday. The six hours we were locked in by the dapper hosts, Delphine and Chisom were worth it! And the item 7 from Nuli juice, So Yummy, the cupcakes and more? No words.
In all, it was ah-mazzzz-ing. I can’t wait for the next season, just like the two ladies I met at the gate who arrived at the end of the program. Sigh. We shall meet next time.
Hope our week is going great? Oh who has been partaking of this #OneHourHalellujahChallenge? What has your experience been like? I’m over the moon with testimonies oo. Y’all please share. I’ll love to read from you!
*hugs and kisses*
