Monday Pill: Cut That Rock! Who Is Ready?

cut that rock

Hellurr…. Happy new week! Happy last week of the month of August. Some had a rocky month, and some had a rock solid month. However, we still some days left to make it awesome. Nothing is impossible I believe. Meanwhile who remembers Right Here by Brandy? Used to be my favorite track back in the day. Enjoy!

So this past weekend was all shades of epic! The most anticipated conference of the year, the Spirit Life Conference happened! Yo! I couldn’t believe I was in the same hall with grandfather, Bishop TDJakes! I still can’t believe I took his picture. I can’t believe the avalanche of wisdom he served me personally (yes I took it very personal o)..what??!!! You guys! If you missed it, I’m not even sure where to start from to console you. It was the best thing ever.

I’ve been a daughter of that man for as long as I can remember. He just doesn’t know it yet. I read his books, watched his movies, listened to his music and now crushing on his new menstyle. lol. TD Jakes is just an amazon, forget it. No wonder I’m very taken to my Papa Paul Adefarasin. They both are an epic miracle to the world.

One thing I love about Bishop Jakes just as much as his words, are the expressions on his face when he talks. haha. That man is a warrior! No one can tell me anything else. He raised a battle cry, CUT THAT ROCK, which I won’t forget ever! I’ll explain what it means in a minute, let me catch my breath. *breathes in*

So Bishop spoke to us about the assignments that we have all been given by God. He spoke about the fact that while we are supposed to be chiseling our rock (assignment/purpose/goals) we are literally sleeping on a bicycle (ok maybe he didn’t say that exactly but you get my point). He was like some of us have left the rock to chase after the chips that fell off while we were cutting. He called us all out! From entrepreneurs, to church goers, to politicians, everyone, he had a word for us all. It was time to get back to cutting!

Yo! I definitely can’t type all I learnt else, you’ll tire of reading. But all I can say is, get the tape somehow. Just get it. And as the week/year progresses ‘unbothered’, keep at the cutting process. Don’t stop. And trust me, a fine vessel is going to emerge soon. Very soon.

Have a blessed week guys!!!

*hugs and kisses*
